| MyFaceMyBody moves from the web to Sky TV 11 Jan 2010
Kate DonovanThe MyFaceMyBody television programme will launch in March and feature cosmetic surgery, non-surgical procedures, dentistry and general wellbeing.
Each episode will be presented by aesthetic medicine industry expert Stephen Handisides and will look at the latest treatments and procedures available on the UK market.
The programme aims to provide consumers with a better understanding of different invasive and non-invasive cosmetic surgery treatments and will detail the benefits and risks of treatments and how to choose the right surgeon or clinic.
The programme will also be available to watch on-demand on consumer website MyFaceMyBody.com. MyFaceMyBody is also partnering with consumer magazine Absolute Cosmetics, offering a tri-media approach.
MyFaceMyBody founder Handisides, said: "I've been developing MyFaceMyBody over the last few years as I felt consumers were struggling to find easily accessible and engaging yet totally independent information about the huge number of procedures on the market.
"The unique combination of the three media groups not only provides consumers with that information but also offers clinics, surgeons and suppliers an ideal opportunity to promote their business to millions of consumers across the country."
The MyFaceMyBody programme will be screened 12 times per month on InformationTV, Sky Channel 166 and Freesat.402. |

| Calls on paying staff during snow related absences flood into the NHF 08 Jan 2010
Kate DonovanThe NHF's Legal Lifeline advises that salon owners who decide to shut because of the weather must pay their staff, but that salon owners do not have to pay staff who remain at home if the salon opens. Stay-at-home hairdressers would have to take days off as holiday; try to make up any missed hours over the next few days or take the time off as unpaid leave. |
